Motor Learning and Rehabilitation

Being located in Sheba Medical Center gives us unique access to patients populations. We currently conduct research with Parkinson, Alzheimer, stroke and psychiatric patients. Our work aims at developing both dedicated rehabilitative tools as well as targeted diagnostic and rehabilitative paradigms to improve the quality of life of these patients.  Examples of the rehabilitation-related studies:​

  • Novel Virtual Reality Method to distinguish Apathy from Depression in the Context of Dementia.

  • Gait adaptation patterns in subjects with neurological diseases introduced with split belt treadmill technology.

  • Multimodal and Natural Computer Interaction by the combined activation of cortical signals (i.e., EEG) and eye movements.

  • Virtual reality-based intervention to alleviate fear of flight.
